Last year, about 30 SEI kids started growing food in a former vacant lot at Williams and Failing in North Portland. Kids planted their own seeds, watered, weeded, harvested, and then ate! The food was donated to the SEI cafeteria to offset rising food costs and provide healthy, local, organic vegetables to the SEI community.
This little advert was made to raise awareness of garden and highlights the simple ways that video can be a crucial tool in promoting small scale social action projects.
